Jonathan Johnson brings nearly two decades of legal experience to The Johnson Firm, where he leads Domestic and Personal Injury cases with precision, compassion, and courtroom authority. Recognized by peers and institutions alike, he has argued before the Louisiana Supreme Court and helped shape precedent-setting law.
With nearly two decades of legal experience, his practice is defined by meticulous preparation, courtroom tenacity, and an unwavering focus on the families he serves. As managing partner, he brings that depth of experience to every case, whether it involves complex community property disputes, contentious custody battles, or intricate support calculations.
Known throughout the Lake Charles legal community for his meticulous preparation and persuasive courtroom presence, Jonathan has successfully represented thousands of clients in family law matters.
He received Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and civil law, as well as his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University. He joined The Johnson Firm in 2006 and manages both Domestic and Personal Injury cases.
After just five years in practice, he was recognized in 2011 as the “Most Outstanding Young Lawyer in Louisiana” by the Louisiana State Bar Association, an award given annually among approximately 19,000 attorneys statewide. He was also named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2012 and 2013 and has been recognized by Acadiana Profile Magazine as a Top Lawyer in Southwest Louisiana for multiple years.
Jonathan is deeply involved both professionally and civically. He serves as a Commissioner of the Lake Charles Harbor and Terminal District, is a board member of the Louisiana Bar Foundation, and is a member of the SWLA Bar Association Executive Council.
His commitment to justice extends beyond individual cases. It reflects a broader dedication to strengthening the legal profession and serving the Southwest Louisiana community.
Outside of the courtroom, Jonathan enjoys working out, playing sports, spending time with his family, and playing the guitar. He and his wife, Hannah Stelly Johnson, have two daughters, Faith and Lyn. They are members of Church of the King in Lake Charles.
